Four reasons why joining our Talent Network is a smart move for your career

August 6, 2025

No matter where you are in your professional healthcare journey, joining the Providence Talent Network is a great way to learn more about the Providence family of organizations and hear from our amazing caregivers (employees), as well as stay connected to new opportunities. It only takes a few minutes to create or update your profile, and the benefits can pay off down the road. Here are four reasons to create or update your profile today.

  1. You can get updates about new opportunities.

The job market moves fast, and positions often open and close before you know it. The last thing you want is to miss out on the perfect fit. By joining the Providence Talent Network, you could discover roles you may not have known about or considered, whether they’re in your geographical area or somewhere you’d like to move. The Providence family of organizations serves communities across a seven-state footprint, and you can specify that you’re interested in a region outside of where you currently live. Remember to update your profile if your plans or goals change later.

  1. You can be inspired by stories from real Providence caregivers.

Whether you’re at a crossroads in your career, curious about others’ career trajectories or simply love reading inspiring stories about fellow caregivers, the Talent Network is for you. As a member, you’ll receive stories from real Providence caregivers, such as:

  • Nurse Manager Jenil’s recount of relocating across the country and finding herself right where she wanted to be.
  • Ultrasound Tech Mirza’s heartfelt story of being supported through the horrible loss of her limb in an accident.
  • Respiratory Therapist Marcus sharing how a family friend steered him in the right direction toward a rewarding career.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Ekaterina’s retelling of how she chose healthcare after a trying divorce and a battle with cancer.
  • Lead Cook Wilmar’s inspirational story of resilience in the face of devastating loss when his home was destroyed in the Eaton Fire.
  1. Your completed profile tells recruiters that you’re open to job possibilities.

By fully completing your Talent Network profile, you’re making it easy for our recruiters to see who you are and how you might fit within our organization, even if you haven’t yet applied for a position. Your detailed and up-to-date profile shows recruiters you’re interested and engaged, and open to considering the right opportunity.

Recruiters often sift through dozens (if not hundreds) of applicants per role. A strong presence in the Talent Network sets you apart before the hiring process even begins. It’s a proactive way to keep doors open.

  1. It’s an easy way to stay connected to the organization.

Joining the Talent Network keeps you connected by first trying to match you to open roles when you sign up. Then, you’ll receive a regular cadence of email or text updates, which you can opt out of at any time. Even if you’re not actively seeking a job now, by signing up or updating your profile, when you’re ready to start a new chapter in your career, you’ll already have an established connection.

How to put your best foot forward with the Talent Network

If you already have a Talent Network profile, great! Be sure to take a few minutes to update it if applicable so it accurately reflects your career journey. Add new roles, skills or achievements to keep your information current.

If you don’t have a profile, it’s quick and easy to set one up by providing:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Region/location of interest
  • Career area of interest
  • Area of expertise
  • Communication preference

Remember, completing a full profile allows our recruiters to match you with open positions. To complete your profile, in addition to the above, you will be asked:

  • Whether you’re open to working in other locations
  • Highest degree completed
  • Years of relevant experience
  • Licensing/certification information
  • Whether you’re interested in a clinical role

It’s a good idea to upload your resume to make your profile as strong and accurate as possible. While this is an optional step, recruiters can get a much more accurate picture of where you are and where you want to be professionally with an up-to-date resume included.

Take charge of your career today Whether you’re actively seeking a job, considering your options or planning for future growth, the Providence Talent Network keeps you informed and connected. Create or update your profile now.
