Hiring techs: Find your place and grow your healthcare career as a technologist or technician
We couldn’t provide world-class care without our Allied Health professionals in radiology, respiratory care, sterile processing, surgery, pharmacy and more. Here are several critical tech roles we’re hiring for—and why our caregivers say Providence is a great place to build your career.
Work with us in the Laboratory

Fuel diagnostic medicine by performing a wide variety of tests on blood, tissue and other patient samples.
The lab is a busy place, but Lab Technician Assistant Yvette says it never gets too overwhelming because, “We’re always willing to bounce around and help each other. We’re willing to lean on each other. If somebody’s busy in one area and we get a call overhead, anybody is willing to go do it. We love working together, and it brings a lot of success for our patients.”
Senior Lab Tech Karen says being a lab caregiver is rewarding because, “I love knowing that what we do makes a difference in our patients’ lives. Even if they may not see us working behind the scenes, we are doing our best to provide them with accurate, timely results to aid their providers in directing their care.”
Ensure patients receive the right medications safely and efficiently.
Pharmacy Program Manager Christina says that her coworkers make all the difference. “Coming to work every day doesn’t feel like work. It’s a positive environment that fosters professional growth, yet feels like you’re surrounded by family.”
Pharmacy Technician Hein echoes that sentiment, saying, “I love our team. We always help each other to get the work done on time. I feel good about coming to work every day.”
Work with us as a Surgical Tech

Prepare the OR, sterilize equipment, and pass instruments to the surgeon during operations.
Surgical Technologist Cheryl says, “What’s unique about Providence as an employer is that they try to take care of us, and they take everything to heart. They want to know if you’re happy and if there are any concerns.” She says there are regular touchpoints where she feels free to raise questions or concerns—and that her voice is heard.
Certified Surgical Technologist Sharon says the fast-paced role of a Surg Tech demands a high level of collaboration, and she sees that in action every day. “I feel like I’m a part of a great team,” she says. “I love the camaraderie and support among my fellow caregivers and providers. We all pull together when an emergency arises.”
Sharon says that not only has she received opportunities to grow, but she’s also been supported by her manager and teammates so that she has the time required to take advantage of those opportunities. “In the past year, I’ve taken on more responsibility. My manager supports me by making sure I have time to fulfill my extra responsibilities and that I am able to manage everything. My team helps me by answering the phone or checking in patients when I’m busy at the desk.”
Work with us in Diagnostic Imaging
Support vital medical imaging as a Radiologic Technologist in modalities like X-ray, CT, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine and MRI.

CT and X-ray Tech Ben says that though the job can be demanding, his coworkers make it fun. “People make eye contact and smile in the halls,” he says. “They say, ‘Hey, if you need help with this, or if you want to carpool, we can do that.’ The generosity is pretty top shelf.”
Like many of our caregivers, Lead Imaging Technologist Steven was called to pursue his imaging career at Providence because of our Mission to serve all. “I love the Mission that Providence stands for. The community support is amazing, as well as the support for caregivers. I feel accepted and appreciated at Providence.”
Radiology Manager Erin agrees, “There’s a bigger purpose we have, and that brings us together and keeps us grounded.”
Steven adds that one thing that’s kept him at Providence for more than 13 years is the ongoing opportunities for advancement he’s received. He says, “Throughout my career, they have supported me in advancing my licensure through other imaging modalities, and now into a leadership role.”

Selene, a Providence Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner and Bronchoscopy Lab Coordinator, says she loves her job because it gives her “the opportunity to treat some of the most vulnerable people, and uses advanced skills to help them breathe easier and improve their well-being.”
Why Providence? Selene says, “Providence is not only a great place to work, but we always take care of each other! I have been a patient here myself, as has my mother, so I know the quality of care we give firsthand.”
