Providence education benefits help caregivers cultivate exceptional careers
We want our caregivers to feel motivated, productive and happy at work—so we foster an environment that helps them cultivate careers where their job satisfaction grows alongside their earning potential. We offer a marketplace of learning and education benefits to help them develop in their current roles and support their advancement into other professional areas if they choose. One way caregivers can further their education is through our Education Benefit Program with Guild.
Earn a high school diploma, a certificate or a college degree
The Providence Education Program with Guild is a curated catalog of programs aligned to in-demand jobs and designed to support personal and professional growth. It gives caregivers the opportunity to further their education affordably with up to 100% tuition covered upfront for select programs.
Says PCT Erica, “Providence education funding has kept me in the BSN program at West Coast University, which has allowed me to continue my goal towards becoming a Nurse.” Nurse Manager Kristen agrees, having taken advantage of the benefit throughout her entire professional career. “Providence has supported my growth from a high school volunteer to an accomplished Emergency Department Nurse Manager,” says Kristen. “With their educational assistance, scholarships, tuition reimbursement, and preceptorship opportunities, I have been able to grow my career and care for a diverse community that includes my own family, from children to great-grandparents. As a Nurse Manager, I find profound pride and purpose in serving and supporting both my community and fellow caregivers.”

Other tuition and education assistance at Providence
There are several other ways we support caregivers’ learning and development at Providence. The traditional tuition reimbursement benefit for caregivers is still available, which gives eligible caregivers up to $5,250 in tuition reimbursement for qualifying education and certificate programs and expenses. Additionally, all caregiver service qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
Even if they’re not pursuing a degree, caregivers can use tuition reimbursement for continuing education required as part of their licensure, the costs of which can stack up over time. “Just knowing that we have that tuition reimbursement, it really takes a huge load off of our shoulders,” says ICU RN Edgar.
We also offer a variety of online and in-person opportunities for caregivers and their dependents to receive an education conveniently and affordably through our partnership with the University of Providence (UP). Caregivers who use their benefit at UP can participate in immediate tuition reimbursement, providing funds earlier to pay for schooling at the beginning of the term.
Finally, we offer resources like our Providence internal learning platform with a virtual Career Center to help caregivers assess their skills and interests, explore career options and develop a path toward achieving their ideal job.
