Now caregivers can get MA or CNA certification at no cost with immediate tuition reimbursement
November 22, 2021
We’re excited to announce a new option for caregivers (employees) considering going to school for certified nursing assistant (CNA) or medical assistant (MA) training and certification. Instead of waiting until the completion of the course or passing of the certification exam, benefits-eligible caregivers now have an opportunity to get this training and certification without paying money up front for the program. This immediate reimbursement can be used to cover books, school/classes, and testing fees with no out-of-pocket expenses, resulting in no cost to caregivers.
An important part of our Promise to “Know me, care for me, ease me way” is our commitment to developing our caregivers. We want all caregivers at our Providence family of organizations to grow and thrive, no matter their role or responsibility. Whether caregivers want to grow in their current roles or take on a new position, we’re committed to providing opportunities that inspire and help them expand their skills. This includes offering opportunities to gain new clinical work experience through enhanced programs, benefits and certifications.
For benefits-eligible caregivers interested in advancing their education in other disciplines, Providence provides access to a network of more than 220 schools offering discounted tuition rates, and a variety of online and in-person opportunities for caregivers and their dependents to receive an education conveniently and affordably through our partnership with the University of Providence (UP). Plus, we offer additional resources like individual counseling with education and finance experts, and a virtual learning platform to help caregivers assess their skills and interests, explore career options and develop a path toward achieving their ideal job.
